Tuesday Night Trailblaze

Details

Are you looking to add a cardio workout during the week? Intead of heading straight to the couch, or a stuffy gym, join us for a night out under the stars, enjoy the views, and a TNT workout! The workouts are fast-pace, with bursts up/down steep sections, & light jogging. Be prepared to burn calories, build strength, and increase stamina. Pack light for a fun-rapid pace!

TNT Plan: push it to 6 miles tonight. Head up the "Pipe Trail" climb to the Mineral Wells Trail, head east on the MWT to Five Points. From 5 Points take the middle trail south/west to Vista View Point and start the ascend to Mount Hollywood on the East Ridge Trail (trail we descended last week). After enjoying the view at the peak, head north/east towards Water Tower 115, pick up the Bill Eckert Trail and return to the lot

Bonus: After Vista View Point, as you near the bridge, take the single trail up to Glendale Peak. The GP Trail heads towards Vista View Point and it's just above the East Ridge Trail. The Dynamite-TNTrs will have ample time to bag GP and return to the bridge to continue.

Note it's a workout and the group pushes from start-to-finish.

Difficulty: (ADVANCED)
This is NOT a slow pace hike. The difficulty level is NOT for beginner or intermediate hikers. This IS a high intensity workout up/down steep sections with few breaks. You may need to use some parts of your body for balance and leverage on steep trails. You must already be well conditioned before attempting a TNT workout.
