THE ROUTE:
We start at the Hummingbird trailhead, climb 1000 feet to the Rocky Peak fireroad, where we will see the Rock House (a big cave-room). Then we continue up the hill gaining another 400 feet to Rocky Peak which has great views of the Valleys and on a clear day you can see 60 miles to the ocean in Ventura.
Then we head back down the Rocky Peak fireroad and cross over the 118 freeway bridge and turn west on the Stagecoach trail as it enters the old Corriganville movie ranch. We will then climb up the big rocks there, and then loop back through a neighborhood back to our cars and skateboards.
TRAILHEAD: located just north of the 118 Freeway in Simi Valley at the Kuehner Road offramp.
