From the San Fernando Valley: Take the Hollywood Freeway (101) South to the Vine Street exit. Go straight under the underpass and you will be going East on Franklin. Turn left on Western and follow it around as it becomes Los Feliz. Turn left on Vermont and follow it into the park. This Hike level is at an Intermediate to Advanced intensity. there may be 3 intense inclines, the meeting area is in Parking Lot, on the left hand side, pass the Greek Theater, yet before the Bird Sanctuary attraction.The Hike's Duration is approximately 2.5 hours plus with a possible Distance of 5-7 miles, more or less. WEAR HIKING or TRAIL walking Shoes please. Bring water, walking sticks if needed, an extra pair of socks, aspirin, a friendly attitude and some niceness but most of all ... bring a LOT of Common Sense and patience for your fellow hikers, OK? A Deed's Tip;this Hike's focus is educational,touristy, and social ... so bring friends and a camera.

" This is not a Training or conditioning hike. Therefore, on this hike look forward to having fun, learning new things, talking and networking, making friends and enemies, and taking time to be at one with nature. Socializing while hiking is just as important as getting exercise, so don't expect any jogging, running, or scary extreme inclines to our fun filled destinations; there will be no death marches without decent rest breaks or even getting left behind. Also ... dogs and brats are always always welcome too on our family type hikes. yet, no minions allowed, I only want friends, family, health nuts and Walking/Hiking minded folks to come out.
