OK....So every time I go to Vasquez Rocks I see these amazing cliffs and spires with holes in them and birds flying in and out of them, and I've never seen anyone get on the top. So, last time I found the way up. The view is really amazing.
and Uphill climbs of 200 to 300 feet a few times...
SCHEDULE:
(it takes about an hour to drive here from middle of L.A.)
10:00 AM: begin hike at Vasquez rocks. We'll see all the best rock hopping spots plus take in the new cliffs trail
NOON: lunch break
2:30 PM: leave Vasquez, drive to Devil's Punchbowl park, arrive at 3:15PM, for easy and scenic one mile loop hike. Maybe we'll see some snow??? (Elevation is around 4600 feet)
5:00 PM leave Devil's Punchbowl, stop at Charlie Brown Farms on the way back... Look at all the weird stuff. Have Dinner, frivolity, etc. http://www.charliebrownfarms.com/
