Video Village Project

It's now time to begin design and implementation work for the art project we previously discussed at https://www.meetup.com/hub-py/events/230374543/

For this meetup, we will start to break the overall task of creating software to run the video village into smaller tasks. The major components right now look to be:

1. Controlling the Projector from the RaspberryPi (Hardware I/O)
2. Setting RasPi IP address with jumpers (Hardware I/O)
3. Playing video on the RaspberryPi on a schedule (RasPi programming)
4. Creating web interface for users to upload video (WebApp)
5. Creating web interface for moderators to review uploaded videos and schedule time/RasPi that the video will run
6. Moving videos from the WebApp to the RasPi

During this meetup, we will form groups of folks that want to work on each part of the project, and setup some general communication for the groups (Slack Channel, GitHub repo, etc).

We will meet up in the Olin Building in Room 201.
Attendees should use the front door of the building. (The back doors will be locked.) The best parking is in the lot near the Admission Building—the lot close to the fountain inside the main entrance from Church Street.
