Give them a choice of login providers? Surely your users have some overlap with other online services.

I'm redesigning a web site that will have a My Favorites / Dashboard kind of experience, with a registration requirement, of course. The problem is that the majority of the site's users are username/password averse. Some don't want to have to remember another unique U/P, while others worry they'll be jeopardizing their personal information. (We did a survey--that's how we know ;)
Does anyone have any experience with alternatives to username/password that provide ease-of-use while maintaining security?
