Announcing a new Meetup for Indy Film Buffs Meetup Group!

What: Let's get BURIED!

When: Tuesday, November 2,[masked]:00 PM

Where: AMC Showplace Indianapolis 17
4325 S. Meridian Street
Indianapolis, IN 46203

OK, I know this is pretty much last-minute (and I'd be happy to reschedule to Wednesday or Thursday if need be), but I suspect that this suspense drama won't make it past Thursday, and I think it sounds like it's worth seeing on a big screen. Ryan Reynolds stars as a contractor/truck driver in Iraq who wakes up and finds that he has been confined to a very small underground space, with only a lighter and a cell phone. He has only ninety or so minutes to contact his family and coworkers so he can get rescued before his oxygen runs out- which isn't so simple when he doesn't know exactly where he is...

Buried was doing pretty well on Rotten Tomatoes, the last time I checked- and check out the poster (on its IMDb page) for a number of good review quotes. Plus, the price is right- only $5- since this is a weekday night, non 3D movie at an AMC theater. The movie starts at 8:15, according to AMC's site, so I set the meetup time for 8.

A few words of warning- reportedly, the camera spends most (if not all) of the movie buried with the main character, so anyone who suffers from claustrophobia might not want to see this movie. But if you do go, I've heard that there's a little "stinger" or "reveal" after the end credits that is worth seeing.
