Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a film based on the video game series Five Nights at Freddy's created by Scott Cawthon and the sequel to the 2023 film adaptation. Like the previous film, the film was directed by Emma Tammi and written by Cawthon. Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard reprise their roles from the previous film, with Skeet Ulrich, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Teo Briones joining the cast. In the film, which is set one year after the previous film, Abby Schmidt (Rubio) sneaks out to reconnect with her animatronic friends, leading to events that reveal the true origin of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Ella McCay is a film written and directed by James L. Brooks. The film stars Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Julie Kavner, Spike Fearn, Rebecca Hall, Albert Brooks, and Woody Harrelson. Set in an unnamed state, an idealistic 34-year-old lieutenant governor juggles familial issues and a challenging work life while preparing to take over the job of her mentor, the state's longtime incumbent governor, who suddenly accepts a cabinet position in the incoming Obama administration. Join us for our monthly movie discussion on Zoom! First up will be our regular icebreaker round where we go “around the room” and invite everyone to talk about a movie you’ve watched recently. Give us a short summary, how you saw it and a recommendation or a warning.

For our second hour discussion topic we'll look back at 2025 and ahead to 2026. Share your best-of and worst-of lists, biggest surprises you for good or ill, films you're looking forward to seeing and more about your year in movies.

Movie of the month series will resume in January. The theme for 2026 is a survey of great movies by great directors of world cinema.

Info for Zoom Meetups: Indy Film Buffs operates on Eastern time. The Zoom link will be added to the Meetup event shortly before start time. If you're on the "Going" list but can't see the Zoom link at 7, please message me (Helen) via direct Meetup message and I'll reply with the link. As a best practice to avoid Zoom bombing, attendees who JOIN the meeting with camera off will be removed from the Zoom meeting. I stop monitoring the waiting room about 7:15 (you can message me if you know you'll be running late).
