Lightroom - Introduction

Lightroom (LR) is one of the most powerful yet affordable file management and editing tools available to photographers. I personally use it almost daily in my work.

This is a class for understanding the basics of file organization and editing in Lightroom. If you are interested in more advanced training or want individual attention, please take a look at our tutoring options. Topics will include:

• Setting up and understanding basic work environment.

• Importing folders and card content into LR and folder organization.

• Importing options/settings

• How LR organizes your files.

• Ranking images

• Using Keywords

• Using/Managing Catalogs

• Basic editing tools for both .jpg and RAW formats

• Intro to adjustment brush and other more advanced editing tools

If you own a copy of LR and haven't explored it, or are considering purchasing this image management and editing powerhouse, then this will be a class for YOU! We will be using Version 5.4. If you have an older version, a lot of the features being demonstrated haven't changed significantly.

Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring a laptop with an active or free evaluation copy (available from Adobe) on it.
