Call for Photographers - FREE Passes Capitol Film Fest and TedX

The TedX and Capital City Film Festival is happening the 4/12-14. They want photographers to cover the event in exchange for FREE Passes. The photos will be posted immediately after the event to a Flickr site.  I was contacted by one of the organizers. Here is what she said:

These events will be taking place Thursday, April 12 - Sunday, April 15 with many events all weekend at locations all over town ranging from speakers to film screenings to concerts. We will have short shifts available from 4pm Thursday through 9pm Sunday.

We are hoping to have a couple reliable and skilled photographers at each event, ideally photographers who would be able to quickly get photos online for streaming throughout the weekend. I thought this might be a wonderful way for some of your network to get involved in local events, perhaps gaining some new skills and experience.

If they are interested they should contact Ariniko O'Meara ASAP at [address removed] for additional details and schedule information.

We are still looking to fill about 35 time slots. After speaking with CCFF organizers I was able to find out that the photographers who volunteer for shifts will be given a swag bag at their first (or only) shift. It will contain a CCFF t-shirt (I will need the volunteer's size before the festival), buttons, stickers and a Film Pass which allows them to see all the film screenings. If they would prefer they could choose instead of the film pass, to purchase a discounted Festival Pass for $30 instead of the $50. I will pass along information on how to do that when I receive it. If anyone has any questions or would like the link to sign up for a shift please have them contact me at [address removed]
