MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MAKING AND PLAYING
WITH
GARRY JONES
Come and learn how to make and play your own wind instrument!
Make your own Harmonic Whistle and/or set of Pan Pipes from simple, readily found modern materials. These are fully tuned, authentic musical instruments modelled on examples still played in many cultures around the world. Included in the workshop is a short introduction on the basic principles of acoustic wind instruments.
We will finish with a group music-making session playing our own original, improvised composition.
Ages 6 –Adult (10 years and younger to be accompanied by adult)
