What we’re about
Linux Users of Victoria is one of Australia's largest GNU/Linux, free software and open source user groups. We conduct two regular events in Melbourne each month. On the first Tuesday of the month LUV runs technical presentations at the Kathleen Syme Library, 251 Faraday Street Carlton. On the third Saturday of the month, LUV runs a hands on workshop at Infoxchange, 33 Elizabeth St. Richmond addressing the issues of the users who turn up. The workshops have a "beginners" level talk, whereas the technical lectures are for an "intermediate" and "advanced" audience. LUV has four regional chapters in Ballarat, Geelong, LaTrobeValley and Shepparton. Many of our members also attend Melbourne Linux Users Group (MLUG).
Who should join?
Anyone is welcome to join. You just need to have an interest in Linux and/or Open Source Software in general. Even if you don't, you are still welcome!
