SHAGGY
After over a decade, six albums, two multi-platinum releases, five No. 1 hits, and 11 Top Ten singles worldwide, Grammy-winning Big Yard recording artist Shaggy is still on the grind. Making music that celebrates his culture and being an ambassador for reggae music has always been the driving force in the heart of Jamaica's only living diamond-plus selling dancehall reggae artist. After exploding onto the scene with the Grammy-winning, platinum-selling Bombastic (1995), Shaggy released Hotshot (2000) - an album that set him totally apart from any other artist on the dancehall stage. The best-selling album of 2001, the disc sold over 13 million copies worldwide and topped charts in the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and Australia simultaneously. Since then, singles like "Wild2Nite," "Ready Fi D Ride," and "Church Heathen" have kept Shaggy at the forefront of the dancehall and reggae world. Although he's sold over 20 million albums to date, he doesn't take the achievement lightly. Fresh off the release of Summer in Kingston earlier this year, this reggae all-star continues grinding harder than ever.
SEAN PAUL
Jamaican dancehall superstar Sean Paul first sparked the world in 2002 with his breakout hit "Gimme the Light," and the fire has been burning brightly ever since. Hot on the heels of his multi-platinum, Grammy-winning classic album Dutty Rock (2002), he dropped the 2005 RIAA platinum smash The Trinity (2005). That album led off with the Top 10 single "We Be Burnin'," followed by the No. 1 smash "Temperature." In 2009, he stoked the flames further with the Grammy-nominated release Imperial Blaze, which featured the huge hit single "So Fine." The Kingston-born rhyme slinger has already sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and has become the most successful Jamaican artist of all time on the U.S. charts, But despite his scorching track record, Paul is taking nothing for granted. Preparing to release his fifth studio album, featuring the singles "Got 2 Luv U" and "She Doesn't Mind," he's poised to dominate the music scene into 2012 and beyond.
