August Full Moon Ritual IN Plum Creek!
Details
It's time to find the fireflies... wade in the creek... create a hidden circle under the full moon and canopy of leaves. This is an open and public Full Moon Rite not to miss. It does involve a drive to an out-of-the-way open space (in between Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock), a 500 ft walk through tall grass and cottonwood trees, down into the wide and sandy creek bed of Plum Creek. Be prepared to get a little wet, deal with some mosquitoes, and get some sand in your shoes, but I guarantee it's worth it!
Planning the ritual will begin at 7:30 pm, so if you feel called to co-create the ceremony please do so - no experience required. If you are not wanting to help plan or lead the ritual, please gather at 8:30pm inside the park - do not linger at the parking area along the road so as not to interfere with traffic or bother the locals, and we'll walk down together to the creek.
Bring a sack or backpack with a towel to dry your feet and possibly a change of shoes/sandals, mosquito repellent (there are some good natural ones to try), a flashlight or lantern, and layers of clothing for any possible weather. Drums or rattles are welcome. Due to the environment, we do not recommend this for younger children (our full moons tend to be adults only anyway due to the late hour).
Volunteers needed to bring cakes and wine/ale/mead, electric tiki torches or extra lanterns. Make a note in your RSVP if you can bring any of these or will be there to plan the ritual at 7:30. Suggested Donation $5 is appreciated but not required.
