Living Earth is an open circle of individuals and families in the south Denver area of Colorado. We share philosophies and practices of Earth-based spirituality and Earth consciousness. We celebrate the seasons, and grow together in a supportive, egalitarian environment. The vast majority of our events are designed to be family-friendly, although many of our members do not have children. We are welcoming and inclusive of all! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and a church (reclaiming that word!) for people who enjoy a very different embodiment of what a church can be.
As you may know Living Earth also offers a private ritual group experience by invitation. About half our events are published in this meetup group and open to the public, and the other half are invitation-only for this private ritual group. Dark Moon Ritual - Online
·OnlineOnlineOur August new moon ritual is online. This new moon ritual will follow the Living Earth online ritual format. Rowdy LeMasters will lead this ritual to introduce the Practice of Gratitude. Rowdy will discuss the findings in psychology and neurology about how gratitude helps our minds.
Please have a pen and paper ready for note taking.
All adults are welcome. Prior experience with meditation is recommended.

Cornerstones of Community: Ritual in the River
Du Pont Park, Louviers, CO, USJoin us for the final ritual in our Cornerstones of Community series! Adapted from http://www.dianasgrove.com/aboutus/cornerstones.html by Cynthea Jones, the Cornerstones form the foundational focus of our group practice. There are six Cornerstones:
- Choice
- Thinking Well of the Group
- Thinking Well of Yourself
- Stewardship of Self
- Sacred Wound
- Relentless Support of the Sacred Made Manifest
Our ritual series has delved into each of these concepts, and for our final ritual, exploring the Relentless Support of the Sacred Made Manifest we will enjoy one of our most magical, joy-filled gatherings of the year—Ritual in the River.
### What to Expect
We’ll meet in the peaceful little town of Louviers, CO, at Dupont Park/Open Space (look for the picnic shelter near the ballfields) at 7:00 PM. Take some time to ground, stretch, sunscreen up, bug spray down, and breathe deep.
Then at 7:30 PM, we’ll head out together for a walking meditation down a quiet hidden trail that leads us through wild meadow and cottonwood forest to the sacred waters of Plum Creek.
Our water ritual will take place right in the creek bed—a wide, sandy, sun-dappled space where earth, air, fire, and water come alive. Some years the water is deep, while others it is merely a trickle, so please come prepared for any condition. Bring your sense of adventure: the short hike includes a scramble down a 5-foot embankment, and you’ll likely get a little wet, a little sandy, and fully refreshed in spirit.
This is a come-as-you-are ritual: splash in the creek, stand at the edge, or go all in—there’s no wrong way to connect with the elements.

### After the Ritual
We’ll return to the picnic area to hang out, share a meal, and connect as community. Living Earth will provide drinks, utensils, and paper goods.
Bring something to share if you like—whether it's an entree, side, salad, fruit, cheese, crackers, bread, cookies, etc. Let us know in the comments what you’re bringing (totally optional).***
### Who’s It For?
All ages, all backgrounds, all neopagans and pagan-curious folks are welcome. In past years we’ve had participants from age 1 to 85. The vibe is laid-back, inclusive, and reverent in all the best earthy ways.
Note: Due to the terrain and creek access, this site isn’t ideal for folks with limited mobility—but we’ll do everything we can to assist if you need support! Thank you for supporting grassroots community spirituality.***

- Towel & water shoes or sandals

- A snack to share (optional)
- Drums, rattles, or other acoustic instruments
