Outings Leadership Training Class for new leaders!
Hi There, aspiring leaders - Do you love nature, and want to share it? Lead your friends to new and amazing wonders of nature? Do you want to hone your leadership skills?
Then this is the class for you - Highly Experienced Outings Leaders will share their decades of experience in leading outdoor trips, and apply their knowledge to Outdoor Leadership Training, the Sierra Club’s Basic Outings Leader Training.
This training is mandatory for new Sierra Club leaders who wish to lead any Sierra Club sanctioned Outing. The basics elements of conducting outings such as day hiking, kayaking, ski trips, backpacking, peak climbing, etc. This class does not cover technical skills.
Existing Leaders - you must review OLT every 4 years on the Campfire website - or you can come to my class and have some fun, provide inspiration new leaders, and share insights.

When: Class times: 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. This training is free.

Lisa has climbed over 2000 peaks, both in the US and Internationally, and has led over 150 Sierra Club Outings. She is a naturalist, environmentalist and is passionate about the outdoors.
Formerly the Peak Climbing Section Chair for 3 years, she has been the Loma Prieta Sierra Club Outing Chair since 2016. This class is taught several times annually, depending on the need.
