Very interesting talk last night. The ideas about tampering with carnivorous animals and nature in general didn't sit comfortably with me. Although I don't like seeing one animal being hurt by another animal, I think it is dangerous to tamper with nature. However, it was very thought provoking. Anyway, hope to see some of you this Sunday at the Vegan Pamper and Pizza party in Star Lounge, Harrow. Forgot to mention last night during the announcements that Marie-Claire Carlyle, Hay House author and inspirational speaker, will be there to help with the pampering and share tips and stories. Best wishes, Shabari

Brilliant talk, was awesome to hear so many different opinions! If anyone is interested in the possibilities of lab meat, gene splicing and the dangers of losing the natural world to technology, I highly recommend Oryx & Crake by Margaret Atwood. I will plug this book to the death - it's bloody amazing!

If you'd like a preview, David Pearce is the pro-lab meat speaker in the Lab Meat episode of my radio show The Vegan Option. Episode from April 2012:

And you might recognise the anti-lab-meat speaker as well!
