Running Containers in Production, no really

Running Containers in Production, no really

Details

Docker and containers have been a boon for developers, but come with their own operational challenges. Among those being security, networking, service discovery, as well as others. This technical talk discusses using Joyent Triton both as an operator and for application deployment to meet operational requirements and bring them up to par with developer agility provided by containers. We'll also learn how to take advantage of some of the benefits provided by containers without having to redesign your application development workflow around Docker. You can run containers in production without compromise, no really!

About the speaker: As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer at Joyent, Brian is a nineteen year Unix and networking veteran. A course that has taken him through AIX, FreeBSD, more Linux distros than you can shake a stick at, Solaris, illumos, and SmartOS, logging over 50,000 hours at a command prompt.
