Mindfulness Mini Retreat / Beach Hike / Dinner / Sunset

When I'm not hiking, I lead mindfulness groups. Once a month, I facilitate a daylong retreat.
Here's the plan for April:
9:45-10:00 Sign in, tea, and mingling
10:00 – 11:00 Introduction to or reminder about mindfulness. Practice, practice, practice.
11:00 – 12:00 Physically mindful (standing, walking, paying attention to body with kindness, etc.)
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch Break - Bring your own lunch
12:30 - 1:30 Living with uncertainty
1:30 - 2:30 Awareness, Attention, Equanimity
We have access to a kitchen with refrigerator and microwave oven for your lunch.
I am without internet, email, or phone contact from April 2-April 10. I will respond to all comments and messages before before April 2 and on/after April 11. :-)

Here's where we'll meet. There are covered folding chairs for us to use. You can also bring yoga mat, cushions, or blanket for sitting on the floor.

Outside area for walking meditation and lunch.
For beginners as well as experienced mindfulness practitioners. Don't know what mindfulness is? No worries. That's part of the retreat. But here's an article if you want to read a little about it:

2:30 - 3:00 We'll drive over and meet at 26th and the strand in Hermosa 1.5 miles from retreat venue

What to bring:
Lunch and snacks being mindful of what will be added to the landfill. Bring a reusable container for tea and/or water (tea and water will be provided).
Optional: yoga mat, cushions, zafu, blankets, layers of clothing, whatever you like for your comfort. Layers of clothing especially for beach walk. Most people sit on chairs (provided), some on yoga mats on floor.
Donations appreciated.
