3 Peaks northwest of Mount Wilson, then Pizza. 1400 feet uphill, 6 miles long

3 Peaks followed by Pizza by the slice, or assorted Italian food....

DISTANCE: around 6 miles, out and back (not a loop)

ELEVATION GAIN: about 1000 feet up to San Gabriel Peak, down by 300 and up by 200 feet to Mt. Disappointment, then down 200 and up 200 to Mt. Deception

DIFFICULTY: first peak climb is hard, a combination of wide dirt road and narrow steeper trail...the next two peak climbs are much easier and are on a wide dirt road

REST STOPS: lots, as hike leader is quite merciful, and a little lazy. There is not a lot of shade on this hike

DIRECTIONS: take 210 Freeway, get off at Highway 2/Angeles Crest Highway, go up hill about 15 miles, and turn onto Mt Wilson Road. In 1 & 1/2 miles is the Eaton Saddle parking area. There are big dirt parking areas on both sides of the road. We will hike west from this spot on a wide dirt road (the Mount Lowe road) through the Mueller Tunnel and then turn right up the narrow trail to San Gabriel Peak.

"ADVENTURE PASS" FOR PARKING IS NOT REQUIRED
