Join us for a Macro Close-up Photography Workshop where we’ll delve into the intricate beauty of nature and explore the tiny world within park’s stunning landscape.

This hands-on workshop will guide you through the art of macro photography - capturing the hidden wonders of the natural world up close. Whether it’s the delicate veins of a flower petal, the geometric perfection of a pollen-covered stamen, or the mesmerizing symmetry of a dewdrop resting on a leaf, Holland Park offers endless opportunities for discovery and creativity.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
• How to optimize your camera settings for stunning macro shots
• Techniques for lighting and composition to bring your subject to life
• Tips for selecting and using macro lenses or extension tubes effectively

We have a range of extension tubes to fit:

• 3x Nikon F, 3x Canon EF, 2x Sony E mounts

• Lens 50mm
• You can also bring a range of lenses such as kit lens, 24-105mm, 70-200mm
• Tripod is optional

Today we'll be looking at the work of the Italian artist Caravaggio. Caravaggio adopted chiaroscuro in his paintings in the 16th century- his work beautifully combines a realistic view of the human state- physical and emotional- with a dramatic use of lighting.

Chiaroscuro is an Italian term referencing the contrast of light (chiar) and dark (oscuro) to model three-dimensional forms. It’s a style that has quite dramatic results and one that photographers can learn a lot amount about lighting from studying.

Join us for a workshop in 2 parts:

• Part 1: Informative session on the incredibly interesting life and work of Caravaggio
• Part 2: Shoot chiaroscuro style
• We will also discuss street photography tips
