WHO WE ARE

We are a group of fun and friendly photographers. We love going on adventures in and around London, the UK and worldwide. We have been known to hit the road and travel in any direction that has photographic potential.

WHAT WE DO

We hold workshops on all genres of photography and cater for all skill levels and provide comprehensive support both technically and creatively. There is a place for you here whether you shoot digital or film photography, have a pro dslr body, a mirrorless, bridge, compact camera or even a tablet or smartphone. We also run one-to-one sessions and private classes if you and your friends are interested in a more tailored offering.

In addition to shooting in our beautiful and eclectic city of London, our regular workshops include days out and weekends away in the UK and Europe. We also run Photography Tours and Holidays in Asia Pacific and Central America.

Our professional and flexible Leadership Team has the expertise to cover all genres of photography including street, portrait, long exposure, studio, on and off camera flash lighting, night photography, macro, long exposure filter workshops, wildlife, landscape & urban landscape, painting with light, abstract, architecture, low light, Lightroom, Photoshop and more.

Our mission is to help our members have a chance to improve their photographic skills and techniques and explore their creative potential without breaking the bank. So whether you're just starting out, looking to learn something new or are an experienced pro, come hang out with us and share your passion! The Art of Creating a Visual Narrative

Reportage photography or visual narrative photography is the art of telling the story of an event or location through photographs. It is based on photojournalism and carried out properly, reportage photography will provide a comprehensive collection of photographs that will form a story of the subject. In tonight's challenge you will learn how to report and tell your story from beginning to end. You will then be given a brief and a series of exercises to help you tell the story. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN -How to create a visual narrative -What makes a good story and how to show it visually -How to tell a story with a series of photographic images -Improve your composition skills to create impactful images EXPERIENCE LEVEL - All levels welcome, no previous experience required! - From beginner to intermediate this workshop is ideal for everyone who would like to learn how to tell a story, something that can be helpful in all types of photography. Join us for an early evening/sunset wander around Regent's Park. It's a beautiful time of year and we hope to catch the late afternoon light to shoot the park including landscape, flora or the wildlife that inhabit the park. Kyoto Garden is a beautiful Zen Japanese Garden situated in the park. We may even see a roaming a peacock or two. This park is exceptionally photograph-able. This is not a teaching session but help is on hand whether you want to shoot close up, wildlife, working in manual mode, aperture or shutter priority. EXPERIENCE -Any EQUIPMENT: -Any lens -Any camera -No tripod necessary (unless you plan on doing long exposures) TRAVEL -As usual check with TFL for any delays that might interrupt your journey. Long exposure dreaminess - Tower Bridge area (LEE FILTERS provided)

Long exposure photography is a genre in photography that is associated with fine art photography due to the surreal and other worldly effects long exposure photography can bring. Filters give you the ability to do the following: -Make things disappear or turn ghost-like -Soften water and make it smooth or otherworldly -Blur clouds, or waving grass WHAT YOU WILL LEARN • Filter types - what they do - how and when to use them • How to exposure your image • How to focus and compose your image • What to buy if you want to pursue this type of photography • Post processing tips Lee Filters are one of the best quality filter makers there is. We will be providing the ND filters, graduated filters, holders and adaptors so you'll be able to create similar effects to these images. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU AFTER BOOKING: Post a comment below with the filter size of the lens you are using for this workshop. If you are unsure message Alex[masked] with the MAKE and MODEL of the lens. EQUIPMENT • A trigger release - unless your built in timer gives you more than 1 or 2 minutes exposure time (essential) • A tripod (essential) • Kit lens or wider EXPERIENCE • Beginners and refreshers • Know how to put your camera into Manual and Bulb Mode • How to change your ISO, Aperture & Shutter speed We will help you if you're unsure, but may need you to have access to your user manual so we can help. We have knowledge of many brands of cameras but not all. Notting Hill & Portobello Road - Creative Team Photo Challenge - Prizes Awarded!

Join us for an unusual photo day designed to challenge your creativity! Working in teams you will be challenged to shoot a series of locations based on a set of clues. Teams will compile their photos and the team that completes the tasks with the most clues answered the most creatively will win a prize! This is a day to come and have fun whilst researching locations and sourcing shots that convey your photo answers in your own way. You'll meet and work with other photographers, learn some interesting facts about Notting Hill and the particular 'scene' we will be using for this event (more info disclosed on the day), and have really good fun! This workshop is aimed at people with: • all abilities • any camera • any lens • an open mind and fun attitude This is not a teaching session but support will be given with camera settings if you need it.
