Welcome to London Photographic - Improve your PHOTOGRAPHY and BOOST YOUR CREATIVITY!


We are a group of fun and friendly photographers. We love going on adventures in and around London, the UK and worldwide. We have been known to hit the road and travel in any direction that has photographic potential.


We hold workshops on all genres of photography and cater for all skill levels. There is a place for you here whether you shoot digital or film photography, have a pro dslr body, a mirrorless, bridge, compact camera or even a tablet or smartphone. We also run one-to-one sessions and private classes if you and your friends are interested in a more tailored offering.

In addition to shooting in our beautiful and eclectic city of London, our regular workshops include days out and weekends away in the UK and Europe. We also run Photography Tours and Holidays in Asia and Central America.


Our professional and flexible Leadership Team has the expertise to cover all genres of photography including street, portrait, long exposure, studio, on and off camera flash lighting, night photography, macro, long exposure filter workshops, wildlife, landscape & urban landscape, painting with light, abstract, architecture, low light, Lightroom, Photoshop and more.


Our mission is to help our members have a chance to improve their photographic skills and techniques and explore their creative potential without breaking the bank. So whether you're just starting out, looking to learn something new or are an experienced pro, come hang out with us and share your passion! Spectacular Light Installations and Interactive Art @ Canary Wharf

Winter Lights returns for a fifth year bringing together some of the most imaginative and exciting international artists working with light art today. The festival draws upon state-of-the-art light technology to deliver spectacular artworks, installations and experiences – many of them interactive or responsive – and has continued to gather pace with bigger and brighter installations every year. This isn't a workshop but we'll be glad to give you some advice on your settings to improve exposure if you need it. EXPERIENCE LEVEL - Any EQUIPMENT - Tripod - Camera - Charged batteries (spare if you have one) - A normal kit lens will be fine - bring whatever you have OTHER ESSENTIALS - Check weather for the day - Wear appropriate clothing/shoes for weather conditions - Fun attitude! Long exposure photography is a genre in photography that is associated with fine art photography due to the surreal and other worldly effects long exposure photography can bring. Filters give you the ability to do the following: -Make things disappear or turn ghostlike -Soften water and make it smooth or otherworldly -Blur clouds, or waving grass In this session you will learn about: • Filter types - what they do - how and when to use them • How to exposure your image • How to focus and compose your image • What to buy if you want to pursue this type of photography • Post processing tips We have the following Lee Filters (for both DSLR and Mirrorless): • Big & Little Stoppers, Super Stopper, ND Grads, Filter holders, Lens adaptors What you need: • A tripod • A remote release • Kit lens or wider What you need to know (but we can help): • How to put your camera into Manual and Bulb Mode • How to change your ISO, Aperture & Shutterspeed What to wear: • Shoes with a good grip for walking over (potentially) wet rocks • Trousers you don't mind (potentially) getting a bit muddy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We need to know the lens filter size so we can provide you with an adapter. Wildlife Photography workshop - improve and perfect your skills in Richmond Park

Leave your car at home and join us on this beautiful walk where you will learn how to set up your camera to shoot wildlife. Richmond park is a haven wildlife lovers. The park is home to 650 free roaming red and fallow deer; with rich bird life, rare insects, plants and fungi. The session will begin with a talk to give you an understanding of how to photograph wildlife. It will follow with shooting the park wildlife including deer amongst the foliage. This is a chance to shoot with the group, try things out and add some interesting shots to your portfolio. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN This session will consist of an introduction to the basics of wildlife photography, including: -Techniques to master the exposure triangle -Shutter speeds to get sharp photos -Aperture setting to allow your subject to pop out of the background -Metering -Composition EXPERIENCE LEVEL -Beginners with a basic knowledge of using you camera -Intermediates looking to refresh their skills EQUIPMENT -Any camera -Telephoto lenses minimum[masked]mm -300mm if you have one -Tripods are optional (recommended for heavy lenses 300+mm) OTHER ESSENTIALS -Check weather on the day -Wear appropriate clothing/shoes for weather conditions and walking through the park -It can be helpful to have something to kneel on like seat pad or a bin bag, etc. JOURNEY DETAILS -Check the TFL website for any delays that may affect your journey. -Please contact Kevin[masked] if you are delayed. Fabulous Street Photography Assignments

Part of the art of street photography is to tell a story. In this workshop you'll learn how to tell a story and develop street photography skills. You'll be given some tips and then set a series of challenges to help build your confidence when shooting street photography. With St Paul's Cathedral as the backdrop we will look at some of the work of famous and fabulous street photographers and discuss how they build an image and tell stories. EXPERIENCE Complete beginners or those who would like a refresher. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: -Focus points for street photography -What aperture to use and why -How to get a good exposure every time -White balance -What shutter speeds are important -Black & white and why you need to think about colour -Understand the rules and break them -Candid or posed -How to approach people -The legalities EQUIPMENT: - any camera - any lens will do but you can use a long lens[masked] for candid shots or a standard 18-55 lit lens will do. - Fully charged battery - Memory card - No tripod is necessary OTHER ESSENTIALS - A fun and experimental attitude!
