We are a group of fun and friendly photographers.  We love going on adventures in and around London, the UK and worldwide. We have been known to hit the road and travel in any direction that has photographic potential.
We hold workshops on all genres of photography and cater for all skill levels and provide comprehensive support both technically and creatively. There is a place for you here whether you shoot digital or film photography, have a pro dslr body, a mirrorless, bridge, compact camera or even a tablet or smartphone. We also run one-to-one sessions and private classes if you and your friends are interested in a more tailored offering.
In addition to shooting in our beautiful and eclectic city of London, our regular workshops include days out and weekends away in the UK and Europe. We also run Photography Tours and Holidays in Asia Pacific and Central America.
Our mission is to help our community have a chance to improve their photographic skills and techniques and explore their creative potential without breaking the bank.  So whether you're just starting out, looking to learn something new or are an experienced pro, come hang out with us and share your passion! Deep Dive Series - Aperture Priority

The Italian Gardens Cafe

There is more to using Aperture Priority effectively than changing your f-number!

Controlling your aperture is where the magic happens, it can mean the difference between a flat, mundane image or a striking 3 dimensional shot with beautiful bokeh where everything except your subject falls gently out of focus.

Join us on this is hands-on small group workshop where we cover theory followed by a series of fun exercises designed to help you master your camera in Aperture Priority so you get amazing shots quickly and consistently.

  • How to choose the correct aperture
  • How aperture affects exposure
  • How you can use depth of field creatively
  • How to react quickly to changing light condition whilst keeping control over the creative elements of your image
  • The other important factors that also affect depth of field

  • Aimed at beginners but all levels are welcome, no previous experience required

  • Any lens
  • Any camera with Aperture Priority mode
  • A fun and experimental attitude!

As usual check with TFL for any disruptions that may delay your journey.
Please check the weather and dress appropriately.

Turning Form into Rhythm at More London

Pret A Manger

A granite slab is not just a granite slab!

Some imagery has immediate impact and it is easy to understand why we are able to connect with it so easily. Landscapes, portraiture and street photography fall naturally into this category.

Other images remain 'unseen' because many consider the subject to hold little value.

By allowing your imagination and command of your photographic tools to expand and evolve you will be able to both see and capture the artistic value in any given situation with any subject.

Join us to explore the many forms in and around More London that are often overlooked and underappreciated as we turn form into rhythm using texture, colour, light and space.

  • Good subject selection
  • How to dissociate your subject from the surroundings
  • How to apply compositional techniques including unusual framing and viewpoints
  • The importance of simplicity
  • Creative use of camera settings

  • All levels welcome!

  • Kit lens (18-55mm, 24-70mm) or 50mm
  • Standard/medium telephoto (e.g. 70-200mm)
  • Any camera or smartphone
  • Optional - small tabletop tripod/gorillapod
  • Please note that full size tripods are not allowed in the areas we will be exploring

  • A curious mind
  • A fun and experimental attitude!
  • A comfy pair of shoes
  • Please check with TFL for any disruptions that may delay your journey
  • Please check the weather and dress accordingly
