Title: A LLM and two robot dogs walk into a bar
Presenters: Andy Gelme & Jaime Blackwell
Abstract: Rapid improvements in generative and predictive A.I. have been both relentless and breathtaking. Also, these improvements enable a lot more than just better web-based chat bots! As well as providing a basis for more capable agent-based systems in the digital world ... there is a growing realization that multi-modal foundation models are learning "representations" that are useful in the physical world, particularly for robotics.
The presentation will cover a range of related topics, including interactively streaming media (audio / video) from a couple of robots into ML Models, including LLMs running locally and remotely. Whilst contemplating the implications for designing and implementing software in the future, with A.I. mediated user-interfaces, with agent based systems ... and also working with hardware in the physical world. Time permitting, will also play around with some "theory of mind" experiments.
This will be interspersed with live demonstrations using a couple of tiny robot dogs ... what could possibly go wrong ?
