Druid Winter Solstice-Here Comes the Sun!

Details
Come celebrate the birth of a hero and the renewal of the sun at the time when the nights have grown longest. Enjoy a ritual performed by Michael, a published poet who writes stunning, evocative poetry used in his rituals. He is also a talented story teller, also part of his rituals.
At Brú na Boinne, Newgrange, Ireland, the light of the rising sun penetrates the great mound on winter solstice morning. This is where long ago the god Lugh fathered the hero Cú Chullainn with Deichtine, daughter of the king of Ulster.
This Celtic rite is presented by Grove of the Bay, FoDLA (Fellowship of the Druids of the Latter Age) in San Jose on Sunday, Dec. 22nd. Gather at 4:00. Rite will commence at 4:30 PM. We welcome new members to the Grove.
Offerings will be made to the Gods, so if you would like to bring something to offer in the sacred fire please do so. We will also toast the trees with wassail. There will be a potluck afterward. Please bring your own feasting gear-eating utensils, plates, and so on and something yummy to eat.
Come have a great time with this friendly group.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
