Beautiful, Fun Druid Beltaine on April 27

Details

FoDLA will hold our Beltaine celebration on Sunday, the 27th of April. FoDLA is a Celtic-focused, American style, polytheistic Druidism fellowship celebrating the Three Kindreds of nature spirits, ancestors and deities. Come celebrate the coming of summer, the time of flowers, and the god of summer, Aonghus Mac Oc. In the old days the Beltaine fire was lit at Uisneach in Ireland, inaugurating the bright half of the year. Join us for a druid fire and worship in the Lindley Meadow in magical Golden Gate Park, in San Francisco.

There will be an opportunity for those who wish to make offerings. Offerings can be food, flowers, beverages, poems, songs, music… We will share a potluck after the rite, so bring something to share (optional). Bring coats, as the weather can be unpredictable. This is a child-friendly event, but adults must be 100% responsible for their children at all times and adults should also assume responsibility for their own safety. Location: Golden Gate Park, Lindley Meadow (site 5). This is off JFK Drive* (where 30th Avenue ends). Time: assemble at 12:30. Ritual promptly at 1:00 p.m.. The liturgist is Druid Finnchuill. *Part of JFK is closed on Sundays. The section by Lindley is open and has plenty of parking. Best way in, if driving, is to head west on Fulton and left on 30th to JFK. The area is MUNI accessible. For specific questions contact tadhg04@yahoo.com
