Make:SF South (10/22) Electric Imp platform

We have something super cool for you this month. Electric Imp (http://electricimp.com/) is coming to show you how easy it is to bring connectivity to your hardware projects!

In this workshop, they will introduce you to the basics of the Electric Imp platform including how to commission (http://devwiki.electricimp.com/doku.php?id=commissioning) it, connect it to their server and program it. Then they will go through some basic examples and by the end of the workshop you should be able to control some LEDs from your browser. After that - it's up to you to figure out what should be connected!! Even better is that the workshop will be free! They will be bringing example hardware which you can try out and if you want to you will be able to order your own hardware at the end of the event ($50).

Participants should bring laptops and mobile phones if possible and no experience is required.
