Make:SF Sept 13th @ the Tech Shop

Details
Hello Makers,
This month we are going back in time :) Or maybe the mini project we are doing is coming from the past... Anyway this month we will be making chain mail (http://www.instructables.com/id/Volume-1-Introduction-to-Chainmail/)!
This is a fabulous mini-workshop for people who are into jewelry or armor! We'll be making a small piece that you can use as a coaster, earrings, or the beginning of an epic armoring project for your Halloween costume. Bring needle nose pliers as we'll be using (http://www.instructables.com/id/Volume-1-Introduction-to-Chainmail/step4/Using-Rings/) 2 for each person who wants to experiment. The work shop will be $10. Our speakers this month are definitely in the present, or maybe even the future :) Eric and David will be speaking about the OpenROV (http://openrov.com/) project. It is a really cool remotely controlled underwater bot that involves everything from Arduino (http://www.arduino.cc/) and motor drivers, to some pretty cool mechanical engineering (http://openrov.com/page/open-rov-designs-1). Come learn about what it took to get the project going and how you can get involved.
Also, we want to see all the cool stuff you are doing! If you are working on a project and want to show it off or get help, email us and we will arrange for a demo.
This fun-for-all-ages event starts at 6:30pm. Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.
If you are working on a project and want to show it off or get help bring it in. We want to see the cool stuff you are doing :)
