Andy's on vacation this week, so I'll be running the Make:SF meeting this weekend.
First of all, I'd like to welcome our new Meetup members! And to our regular members, thanks for all the great discussion and projects we've seen over the past year. We're having a meeting at 2:00pm on October 5th at the Menlo Park TechShop
, located here: TechShop on Google Maps
. If you're planning to drop by, please RSVP the Meetup group
We'll be meeting in the usual room, just walk in the door and follow the signs or ask the receptionist for directions. And while you're here, don't pass up the chance to tour TechShop if you haven't already. From laser cutters to welders to embroidery machines, TechShop has the tools to make nearly any project a success.
On to the main point of this email. If you have something you've been working on, or even just some ideas to kick around with a group of multi-talented, intelligent people, please bring it to show-and-tell! The majority of our meeting is dedicated to presenting and discussing member projects. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as you made it! We've had everything from woodworking projects to homemade jewelry to a movie-accurate, fully working R2D2 robot.
So if you'd like to bring something to show or just present some ideas, please reply to [address removed] and include a brief description and an estimation of how long you think your presentation will take.
We'll have a computer projector and internet access if you need to display a web site or photos.
Thanks, and hope to see you there!
