BIO
My name is John Hurley and I am a part of the merchandising team here at Allstar! I am a graduate of Stonehill College with a degree in Marketing and Economics. I currently reside in Dutchess County, NY (60 miles north of NYC) and some of my interests include; tennis, boating, baseball and of course…CONSUMER P RODUCTS http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/b/c/1/event_41771201.jpeg!
I did not start at Allstar as a part of the merchandising team…it was a long and twisty road that
led me to this great position!
I was a part of the Creative team first, where I worked with Producers on a daily basis developing and creating the infomercials you see on TV! From there, I jumped to the Direct Response Department which is where all the commercials are sent once they are finished spots. It is here in Direct Response where I provided all the necessary information to our web and TV vendors to successfully run our websites and air our commercials. These experiences in other departments were very important in teaching me what it takes for a product to be successful on TV and in retail. I guess you can say I developed a “Merchandising Eye” while having other responsibilities at AllStar! Now it’s my job to find the next big hit…or should I say the next SNUGGIE!!
