Memphis Java User Group Meeting

This month we will have 2 presentations.

Tim Brownawell will present on Apache POI. The Apache POI project maintains Java APIs for manipulating various file formats based upon the Office Open XML standards (OOXML) and Microsoft's OLE 2 Compound Document format (OLE2). In short, you can read and write MS Excel files using Java. In addition, you can read and write MS Word and MS PowerPoint files using Java. You can read more at ( https://poi.apache.org/ )

We will have a second presentation showing a few practical examples of the Groovy language.

Mingle with other developers, talk shop, learn about new tools, technologies, languages and frameworks, win prizes and be a part of an awesome developer community in Memphis! We're not just a Java group! We love Java, but we know real-life software development spans beyond code running on the JVM and we embrace technologies all throughout the stack, from operating systems and databases to rich web clients and mobile apps.
