Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association Pages

The goal of the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association is to spread enthusiasm for the wonderful world of astronomy.

We do that through hosting a local lecture series, a monthly (weather permitting) star party at a dark site, and many special events throughout the year. All events are free and open to the public. In 2011 we reached over 500 people with our stargazing events, many who were looking through a telescope for their very first time.

The MHAA is made up of astronomy enthusiasts at many different levels. We've got casual stargazers, dedicated amateurs with small scopes, amateurs with scopes that rival small colleges, telescope builders, high end optics designers, astro-photographers, and even some professional astronomers in our ranks. We are always welcoming of new individuals to our midst.
