Thieves Tavern for my birthday

Update

Please no birthday gifts. A few of the members ignored my request last year and while I was touched by the thoughtfulness this year I'll have a nine block walk home; carrying presents that far after drinks just isn't practical. Also just showing up for the event means a lot to me so please no presents.

It's time to go back to the diviest bar in "The Valencia corridor" part of The Mission with fellow Mission Divers.

Paul, the owner, has generously offered to load us up with great drink specials:

$3 Anchor Steam
$3 well cocktails
$4 Duvel
$7 Herradura silver and Modelo Especial
$7 Makers Mark and PBR

You have to have a name tag to get the drink specials So make sure you get one before you order.

Money:

Most dive bars are cash only. They may have an ATM but it’s generally best to bring what you are going to need.

Transportation:

This is an alcohol fueled event so please don't drive. There are plenty of public transportation choices and it wouldn't kill you to walk a couple blocks. http://www.511.org ...

Photographs:

I take pictures at these events with the intention of posting them online for us to share and to promote the group. If you don't want your picture posted feel free to come to our events but just don't pose for pictures. If you pose for a picture you are consenting to having your image posted online for the reasons I've mentioned above. If I get you by accident, in a candid shot or a group shot, let me know and I'll take the picture down and alter it so that you can't be seen.
