関信浩氏は以前は東京やサンフランシスコで活躍されていましたが、現在はNYを拠点とする起業家です。昨年ハードウェアスタートアップのためのFabFoundryをNYで立ち上げました。FabFoundryでは技術的なコンサルタントから法律上のサポートまでを行っています。

Nob is a serial entrepreneur currently based in New York City, with past career in Tokyo and San Francisco. In order to launch the fist Monozukuri Boot Camp program for hardware startups, co-hosted with Makers Boot Camp, he comes to Kyoto to join our community and meet key players. Founded in 2015 in New York, FabFoundry is the first community for hardware startups and creative makers that connects to hardware professionals and manufacturing experts in Japan that excel at manufacture high-quality products. FabFoundry serves to the community by offering access to vital resources for contemporary, urban hardware startups such as creative excellence, technical consultation, design optimization for production, contemporary funding, legal service and networking, locally and globally.

ジュリオ・テラ氏は過去3年間でNebia, Pebble, Cubetto, Pryntといったスタートアップのキックスタータープロジェクトを成功に導いてきました。その以前はRockwell GroupのLABでインタラクティブインストレーションプロデューサーとして、IBM, Microsoft, Sprintといったデジタルマーケティングプログラムをおこなっていました。

Julio Terra works closely with Kickstarter creators from the Design and Technology communities. During the last three years, Julio has worked with creators such as Nebia, Pebble, Cubetto and Prynt, helping them plan, develop and run campaigns to bring projects and products to life. Before Kickstarter Julio worked as a producer of interactive installations at the LAB at Rockwell Group, explored creative applications of hardware technology at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, and managed digital marketing programs for IBM, Microsoft, and Sprint.

ジェリーヤン氏は27か国の180のスタートアップコミュニティーであるハードウェアクラブのジェネラルパートナーです。ハードウェアクラブはスタートアップへの投資をおこなうと同時に製品化試作のサポートもおこなっています。ジェリー氏は台湾国立大学で電子工学の学士と修士、HEC ParisにてMBAを取得後、台湾やシリコンバレーでエンジニアとしてのキャリアのバックグラウンドがあります。

Jerry is General Partner of the Hardware Club, a private community for global hardware entrepreneurs that has gathered more than 180 exciting hardware startups from 27 different countries, including Misfit Wearables, Thync, Kano, Prynt, Reach Robotics, etc. The Hardware Club provides capital investments as well as manufacturing and retail resources to its member startups, for which it has partnered with prestigious EMS firms (Foxconn, Pegatron, Flex, Jabil, Quanta, Compal, etc) and retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, Brookstone, JD.com (http://jd.com/), Media Saturn, etc).

Before jumping to the dark side of venture investments, Jerry had been in Analog IC Design for more than a decade after receiving his Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University. His engineering career, including 4 entrepreneurial years, spanned across Taiwan and Silicon Valley, where he last worked for Qualcomm Atheros Inc. in San Jose. Jerry obtained his MBA degree from HEC Paris. He has also passed all three levels of the CFA Program on the first try.

京都生まれのスシ・スズキ氏は15年以上アメリカと5年ヨーロッパで過ごし、機械工学の修士をスタンフォード大学で学士をライス大学で取得されています。現在は京都工芸繊維大学の特任准教授で、過去にはÉcole des Ponts ParisTechやStanford Universityで教壇にも立ってきました。またパナソニックヨーロッパで勤務もされていました。

Sushi Suzuki is a specially appointed associate professor at the Kyoto Institute of Technology and KYOTO Design Lab where he teaches and runs projects based around design thinking, the Stanford-IDEO innovation methodologies. Previously, he co-founded Paris Est d.school (http://www.dschool.fr/en/) while teaching design innovation at École des Ponts ParisTech and was the Executive Director of theME310 program (http://me310.stanford.edu/) at Stanford University. Sushi also set up an innovation team for Panasonic Europe, was one of the co-founding members of i-kimono.com (http://i-kimono.com/), a Japanese start-up company that handles antique kimono and accessories online, and a concept developer for Yocondo, a Germany-based semantic product search engine.

Sushi was born in Kyoto, Japan but spent over fifteen years in the US and over five in Europe, and has traveled to over sixty countries. He holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.A. in Studio Arts from Rice University.

Artist by nature, Engineer by training, and Designer by desire, Sushi is always thinking of new ways to do the old things better.

メイシャ・ブルックス氏はハーバード大学で機械工学とMITにて量産化試作と工業化プロダクトデザインを学び、富士通、大阪大学、IBMなど日本とアメリカでの勤務経験があります。プロのモデルとしての経験からファッションとテクノロジーの融合を図っています。

Meisha holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering (Harvard University) and studied Design for Manufacturing and Engineering Product Design at MIT, where she pitched engineering products for the television channel Discovery Canada. She has worked in a diverse set of industries (Design, Manufacturing, Medical, Robotics) and has spent half of her career in the US and the other half in Japan. She worked as part of artificial knee joint design team at Nakashima Medical in Okayama, conducted humanoid robotics research under Professor Ishiguro of the Geminoid Project at Osaka University, oversaw product fabrication and export license acquisition in the Storage Systems group at Fujitsu, developed Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) hardware applications at IBM, and worked as a digital product designer providing consultation services for early-stage startups. Her fashion background consists of working as a professional high fashion model for brands such as Reebok, Puma, Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka, Teen Vogue, among many others.

トゥイ・ファン氏はクーパーユニオンで建築を学んだBonbouton Smartclothes のチーフデザイナーです。代官山と表参道ヒルズにも店舗をもつアメリカンスポーツウェアのUnited Bambooを創設したクリエイティブデザイナーでもあります。化学エンジニアのリン・リー氏とともに、ファッションとテクノロジーを融合させるためBonbouton を設立しました。

Thuy Pham, a Cooper Union trained architect, is the Chief Designer of Bonbouton Smartclothes. Prior to this, he was the Creative Director and co-founder of New York downtown brand United Bamboo, which was well known for its modern interpretation of classic American sportswear. United Bamboo had 2 freestanding stores in Japan in Daikanyama & Omotesando Hills along with shop in shops throughout Tokyo and the rest of Japan.

Following the exit of United Bamboo, Thuy Pham wanted to pursue his next challenge - bringing his experience about fashion to technology. By chance Thuy Pham met w fellow Vietnamese - Linh Le, a PhD in Chemical Engineering with focus on graphene nanotechnology. The two of them decided to team up and create a smart clothes platform called "Bonbouton" that will hopefully usher in a new era of clothes evolved to become smarter and allow our bodies to interface with the Internet of Things.
