It has been pointed out to me that the address for next Sunday's trip to Barton Cove was listing the town of Gill as being in CT but it is actually a MA township and I apologize for the confusion. If you have some interest in going on this trip and the change to a MA location makes a difference then check out the listing below for the plans and send an RSVP.
Barton Cove and a visit to the Gill Tavern Brewery
When: Sunday, August 21
TC: Giti & David
EVENT: Come for a visit to the Barton Cove Campgrounds in the Connecticut River Greenway State Park: http://www.masslive.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2009/07/favorite_places_barton_cove_re.html
We intend to take a hike on the nature trail along a ridge that overlooks the River and is known for bald eagle sightings and then follow other trails in the Park. We may also use the rental canoes and kayaks that are available.
After our adventures at Barton Cove you can enjoy a visit to a brewery and dinner at the Gill Tavern that are both owned by a friend of Giti.
RSVP: Required by Thursday, August 18 to either Giti or David. Please include a phone number for contact on the day of the event.
