The Premier of the New James Bond Film - SKYFALL!!

I recently signed up as a new Assistant Organizer for the group. I am an expat who has lived in London almost a year now, and have a huge passion for the movies. I hope to share that with you by posting come cool events - I always welcome helpful advice or ideas for films / venues so don't be shy.

For my 1st event, I'd love to host the newest installment of one of my favorite move franchises, James Bond, with SKYFALL. This looks to be a great follow-up to the somewhat disappointing Quantum of Solace and its predecessor, the GREAT Casino Royale.

We will be viewing this highly anticipated film at the VUE in Islington (Angel Tube), so it should be pretty central for everyone.

Come on out and spend a great evening with new and old MeetUp movie fans... we will have a friendly dinner / pub event prior to the film (due to the later ending of the film), then meet up afterwards for a pint or two at a nearby pub to socialize some more - either to commiserate over a disappointment or applaud a cinematic achievent! Either way, it will be fun.

WHAT: The 23rd installment of the greatest movie franchise in cinema history, James Bond, in Skyfall!

WHERE: VUE Islington cinema (Angel) / Pre-Movie Restaurant will be Desperados, a cool looking Mexican restaurant on the Islington High Street!

WHEN: Event Meeting Time is 600PM. We will meet at the restaurant (Desperados), our Mexican restaurant, for dinner. We will then leave the restaurant at approx 745PM to walk back to the cinema. For movie showtimes, you can choose either: 1) "Extreme" Seating (2000 / 800PM) OR 2) Standard Seating (2030 / 830PM).

TUBE: Angel Tube (Northern Line)

TICKETS: 11 Pounds 80 for Standard Seats (13.75 if VIP) OR 14 Pounds 30 for "Extreme Seats" (15.75 for Extreme VIP).

Please buy your tickets online not later than Wednesday October 24th (I will be buying mine online as early as that Monday 22nd to ensure I get in) as this will be Opening Weekend and it WILL SELL OUT! NOTE: The SEATS will be first-come / first-serve... we will meet up prior to the film for dinner, then do some more socializing afterwards over a pint or two. For dinner, if everyone is on time, it will help you ensure you have a good seat in this very nice, but intimate (not a lot of space) restaurant.. Also.... the "Extreme Seat" showtime (8PM) movie ends at 2250 (1050PM), and the "Standard Seat" showtime (830) movie ends at 2320 (1120PM). As such we will meet at 6PM in either case to have dinner and socialize in advance of the film, then meet more briefly after the film for a pint at a nearby pub so people can make the Tube home.
