GM Volutneers

From: Ryan

Evening everybody,

I want to thank Andy and Jason for helping me organize this event while I was out of town.  Tim and Lori have both graciously agreed to step up and GM which guarantees us to have sufficient GMs our usual three tables.  That being said, I want to again request GM help for Sunday's game.  The Source is not running games due to a Magic tournament which means we are looking at helping Jon out by seating some of his regular players.  We are already at a waiting list of one, and as we saw last weekend, with half a week left to go, the list will only grow.  I really want to open up a fourth table again, so please lend a hand if you can.

Again - PLEASE, if you're capable of GMing and haven't GMed in awhile or haven't GMed at all, please offer to help out your fellow gamers.

As a directly related note, we are getting to the point that if you have a level 4-5 character you should expect to start getting direct regular requests to help GM to the point of potentially denying seats to high level players who aren't GMing regularly in order to seat new players who have just joined (with 1 character of level 1 or 2).  Remember, if everybody helps every few months, we will continue to have enough GMs to run the tables we have space for without causing GM burnout by the few that have helped step up again and again.  I'm sorry to have to come to this, but we need more GM assistance if we want to continue to maintain our size and rate of growth.

To anybody who has stepped up (Andy, Jon, Lori, Tim, Ray, Jason, Aaron K, Aaron C, Steve, Kevin, the GMs at The Source, and anybody else I've forgotten), I want to give you my heartfelt thanks.  Without your help, Minneapolis/St. Paul Pathfinder Society could not exist.

Regards,

Ryan
