OVERVIEW
One year ago Jim had the unusual opportunity to join Virtru, a data protection and privacy company, and rapidly build a UX team – and UX as a discipline – from the ground up. A year later, Jim will share some of the strategies he employed around hiring, tools, and process to level up customer-centric design at a company operating in a highly technical and regulated industry.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jim is a design leader with over 20 years of experience building teams at companies such as America Online, Revolution Health, AddThis, Contactually, and most recently Virtru. In 2012 Jim founded NoVA UX, now with a membership of over 4,000 user experience professionals in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area.
