This path is nothing new.

Indeed, it is not. There is almost nothing in "The Secret" that has not already been espoused by the likes of Wayne Dyer, Norman Vincent Peale, and practically all of the New Testament of the Bible, among other places. It's always interesting to see how each generation tries to spin this relatively simple truth to suit the needs of the moment. What makes The Secret's spin different is the (almost over-)emphasis on the gathering of material riches, instead of the spiritual aspect of the "law of attraction"...and Rhonda Bynes is laughing all the way to the bank. Bully for her.

Eddie, who recalls Ecclesiastes 1:9: "What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun."
