Re: [newtech-1] U.S. demand for skilled worker visas seen topping quota soon

I second that. I know many people who are paid very well, given health benefits, career advancements etc. I know a guy who left china came here and became a software engineer. In china he was a doctor.

Sounds like the tired old story of "America the Racist".

Your experience on this does not reflect the reality. Waiting game for long years only apply to those born in china or India

in my experience people come to this country to study,
get a job with the visa and stick trying to get a green
card and they'll stick no matter how they're treated..
even if they don't get paid.. if they lose the job and
manage to get another with the visa, the green card
process starts over again.. depending on where you
live it can take 8 or 10 years to get a green card..

Hm, this is definitely not the feedback i have from the people i talked with who experienced this kind of situation. It seems more like the government is very careful so that what you're speaking about doesn't happen (lower-paid foreigners, that is).

Actually, i'd be interested to know what your experience is with that, to better figure out whether it's feedback, or opinion?
(Opinions are fine, but i'm more interested in feedback!)
