Based on successful experience with groups IRL, I'd suggest a code of conduct, and kicking people off the list who won't adhere to it. Let them start another list. And they may learn something from the experience and clean up their act.

Assuming we have 30,000 members, I believe we only have 3-4,000 list members,  it's only been a dozen or so, most infrequent or new posters, who have raised their concerns about list behavior which has always been part of the list. Meanwhile, I have posted a couple of what I thought were interesting posts, which received a total of one written response. How many will unsubscribe from this list and will they be missed.
