Personal Navigation Devices, infrastructure, applications, etc.

Are any of you experts in the Personal Navigation Device (PND) space?
Not just the devices (ie; things like TomTom's, Garmins, cellphones,
etc)... but overall platforms and infrastructure - ie; Navteq, Tele
Atlas, Tele Nav, Map Quest, Google, various social networks, and others.
Navigation is truly an emerging space. It includes a complex web of
convergence. Simple was, I am here and tell me how to get there. Now
it's, I am here, these are my preferences, here is my "profile", here is
where I am going, who will "date" me along the way (business, people,
etc), this is my hardware (Cell, Dedicated GPS, Laptop, digital camera,
etc) and so on. Of course there are other applications, business - like
fleet management, etc.

Please contact me offline if your willing to talk about this in more
detail. My interest comes from maintaining and extending experience in
this emerging market - specifically in market development (which
includes all the elements I mentioned and many more). I'd love to know
more from your perspective, what information sources you track,
associations you find valuable, etc. Also, post here if you think others
will benefit from your comments or insight.

Thanks! Mike
