I am shocked, parse has been so successful in mobile apps, In my company we have deployed a lot of complex enterprise level apps using parse!! It is well documented and works all the time, they have good blogs and an active support system.
We've been using it extensively before it was bought by FB. Such a weird move.
Firebase is not the only replacement, AWS can compensate better.
Sincerely,
Ahmad

http://blog.parse.com/announcements/moving-on/We have a difficult announcement to make. Beginning today we’re winding
down the Parse service, and Parse will be fully retired after a
year-long period ending on January 28, 2017. We’re proud that we’ve been
able to help so many of you build great mobile apps, but we need to
focus our resources elsewhere.

For weeks I have been saying to coding buddies, if you are not at least looking at Firebase you are missing out on something big. I mean REALLY BIG, and it's pretty cool too.
I'm a die-hard iOS guy, if I'm saying PLEASE look at a Google product, just take the 5 mins and look at it OK? It may be worth your 5 mins.
