This week we have Matt Walters (https://twitter.com/mattwalters5) talking about how to use Node.js in embedded systems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embedded_system). Matt is a software consultant, entrepreneur and the co-organizer of the NYC Node.js meetup. He helped Koko Fit Club create a new high tech treadmill application, using Node.js to pull in sensor data in real time and provide a touch screen interface for users to interact with. Koko creates hardware and software experiences that allow you to take control of your health and fitness. Matt's going to dive into code showing how to pull realtime info from linux subsystems into Node applications with minimal effort, how to get data in from serial based devices.

If you haven't installed Node.js yet you can download it at http://nodejs.org/

See you there!
