Build a web server and simple twitter application, hosted by Dev Bootcamp
Details
Sinatra is a super lightweight yet super powerful web app framework used by Apple, LinkedIn, and Heroku. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to get a Sinatra web server up and running, and build a simple web application from scratch in Ruby that interacts with the Twitter API. If we have time, you'll learn how to manipulate inbound and outbound tweets in your application!
Before attending, please read the Sinatra "Getting Started" section here (http://www.sinatrarb.com/intro.html), have a working twitter account, and install the Sinatra Ruby gem and Twitter Ruby gem. If you're having trouble with the gems, we can help you at the workshop. PC's, please install Ruby here. (http://rubyinstaller.org/)
