BOP (Brooklyn Origami Pals)

Happy Spring, fellow BOPers! Join us at the Sakura Matsuri. It's been a looooooong winter and time to enjoy some time in the sun and fold. Let's meet in the Cherry Esplanade in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden between 1-4 pm. Admission is $25, unless you're a BBG member. We'll station ourselves under a shady, blossom-filled tree so bring snacks and drinks and something to sit on, as well as paper to fold. I'll be teaching cherry blossom modulars, both the Sakura Ball and the modular Cherry Blossom. Maybe we can fold songbirds, butterflies and other signs of spring. Have origami models you don't want anymore? Do some spring cleaning and bring them to give away to the public and spread the origami love! The closest subway stop is the East. Pkwy Museum stop on the 2,3 trains. Also nearby you can use the 4,5,S and Q trains, but they're further away. But please check the weekend schedule and maps for accurate info. ALSO if the weather doesn't cooperate (rain, wind, blizzard, etc.), stay tuned for alternative locations. I'll post updates on April 25th so check the OMG website. Fingers crossed that we will meet under the splendor of the beautiful blossoms to fold on a perfect spring afternoon like last year.
