Open Lab Wednesday - 3D bioPrinting Hardware Demo

This evening at OSN, Evan Roche will be sharing his work in 3D bioprinting hardware development. The evening will begin with a presentation in which Evan will discuss his work in machine design & directing the 3D Printing workshop series ‘Buildclass (http://buildclass.org)’, and will also provide an introductory lesson on bioprinting. The evening will transition into a live hands-on demonstration using 3D bioprinting equipment that was designed and manufactured in-house by Evan’s firm. This will also be an opportunity to learn more about the ongoing research in bioprinting that is a collaborative work of an OSN based research team.

Evan Roche is an entrepreneur and designer based in Vancouver, BC. He was recently the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. Evan also co-directs the workshop series Buildclass (buildclass.org (http://buildclass.org/)), in which participants assemble their own 3D printing hardware from the ground up in 3 days - learning advanced 3D printing skills in the process of doing so.
