There will be no RSVP limits for this event. Please read this invitation in its entirety before submitting your RSVP.

Comiccon is here. We will walk past the convention center and maybe there will be some in costumes. Keep your fingers crossed.

The Urban Photo Shoot and walk is a great way to discover downtown San Diego. Our approximately 5 mile long route will take us past the Star of India, the U.S.S. Midway, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, numerous Fishing Boats, the Convention Center, the walkbridge, the many outdoor sculptures, the Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza, the Santa Fe Depot, Little Italy, and much, much more. Photo opportunities galore! I take this walk fairly regularly and love it. If you haven't explored the diversity of downtown San Diego, here's your chance!
Here is a map of the walk: Downtown Urban Photo Shoot and Walk (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5329008)

I strongly suggest you print a copy of the map and/or familiarize yourself with the route in case you get separated from the group or in case you want to walk ahead or fall behind.

We will leave on the walk at 8:00 a.m. sharp. We will head south toward the Convention Center at that time. We should be back by 1:00p.m. or so.

As there are no limits on RSVP's, we are expecting a very large number of participants, so we will break into smaller groups, each led by one or two PPS organizers.

Where to meet: To make parking easier we will meet at the Star of India at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Parking will not be a problem because it is not metered on Sundays and the museum will not be open yet. There are several trolley stations nearby if you choose to ride public transport. Check the MTS website.

Parking: Beware of the parking areas. Some of the meters include Sundays and some are free on Sundays. Please be careful.

What to bring: I suggest you bring comfortable walking shoes (you’ll need them), water, your wide and long lenses, hat, sunscreen, burger money, etc. If you like, you can pack your lunch.

We can take several breaks along the way when people feel like it. We can stop for lunch in Little Italy. As we are expecting a large group, there are several possibilities (Restaurants are in the order we will walk past them):

Burger Lounge (http://burgerlounge.com/) –1608 India Street (Corner of India & Cedar)

Filipi’s Pizza Grotto (http://www.realcheesepizza.com/web/menus/SD_MainMenu.html) – 1747 India Street (India St. between Date & Fir)

Landini's Pizzeria (http://www.landinispizzeria.com/) - 1827 India Street (near the corner of India & Fir)

Mona Lisa Deli & Restaurant (http://www.monalisalittleitaly.com/) – 2061 India Street (corner of India & Grape)

Some important announcements:
If you RSVP YES, please show up. If you can’t make it, change your RSVP to NO as soon as you can. Do not wait until the last moment to change your RSVP.

Please do not take photographs of homeless people unless you have their permission. Many do not like to have their photographs taken.
