San Diego State University Architectural Photo Tour and Shoot

The tour will include opportunities to photograph the Aztec Center, Pedestrian Bridge, Stone Monuments, Performing Arts Plaza, Scripps Cottage, Hardy Memorial Tower, Hepner Hall, Mediterranean Garden, and (potentially) the interior of the Love Library, as time permits. This tour is perfect for those looking to learn more about architectural photography and experiment with different techniques. Included in the tour will be a brief historical background on each of the subject areas. The tour/shoot will likely last 3 hours, after which, the group can have lunch near the campus.

(http://police.sdsu.edu/parkinginfo.htm) , however, I recommend parking in the residential area off Montezuma and College Place or Rockford Drive and walk to campus. NOTE: Meters are on, so please do not leave your vehicle at a meter, SDSU parking offers no grace period. Options for arriving include carpooling and trolley.

Gear:

I recommend a wide angle (10 or 12-24mm) lens for this shoot, but it's not critical. If you have a 50mm baseline kit lens that will work also. Architectural photography usually encompasses several elements, including broad depth of field, and sharp focus.
Tripod (one with a bubble level, but not critical)
Remote cable release (optional)
