Pre-Laracon EU meetup @ Nucleus

Details

For our second meetup we'll be hosted by the awesome people at Nucleus (https://www.nucleus.be). They were so kind to offer us a place for our meetup and some sandwiches and drinks. Much thanks to Mattias Geniar (https://ma.ttias.be/) for all the help.

Hannes will be giving a try-out of his Laracon EU (http://laracon.eu/2015/) talk. So if you're missing out on Laracon EU this year, you can still join us for one of the talks. Come on out and leave some feedback for him on Joind.in so he can improve the talk before the big event.

Bart will be giving a talk about an open-source CMS from Kunstmaan (http://www.kunstmaan.be/).

Thanks for joining!

UPDATE (18/08)

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I have to cancel myself. I'm sorry this is all last minute. The meetup will go on with Hannes and Bart and Nucleus will surely give you warm welcome. Have a great evening!

TALKS

Advanced package development by Hannes Van De Vreken (https://twitter.com/hannesvdvreken)

Registering your new awesome package to packagist is easy. But what about maintainability? What dependencies should you avoid? Have you considered reducing download size? How will you keep your users up to date with changes in newer versions? How do you best handle releases? How do you manage your package to behave in an optimal way both in other people's production environment as in your local package development environment?

These and many other tips for medium to high quality packages are included in this talk.

Speaker: Developer at madewithlove (http://madewithlove.be/), open-source user and contributor, organiser of several meetups.

Kunstmaan bundles CMS by Bart Van den Brande (https://twitter.com/denbatte)

The Kunstmaan Bundles for Symfony 2 are the result of over a decade's experience in designing and developing content management systems with the Symfony 2 framework (and community bundles). They enable developers to create high quality, flexible and above all user-friendly CMS based websites without the hassle of creating the admin interface.

The talk is targeted for a general technical audience: Its has some live examples so even if you don't have experience with Symfony, this is still a great talk for you!

Last minute replacement!
