Topic: Intro to Pyramid & Pyramid Sprint Update
Pyramid is a general, open source, Python web application development framework. Its primary goal is to make it easier for a Python developer to create web applications. Calvin and the team at Six Feet Up prefer it over Django because of it's flexibility, simplicity and speed. Calvin is going to give an intro to the key elements of Pyramid and discuss how Pyramid is evolving. Calvin and Clayton Parker participated in the Pyramid Summer Sprint in Germany this August.
If you are interested in getting started with a Python web framework, or curious about Django alternatives, join us.
Presenter: Calvin Hendryx-Parker, Six Feet Up
Venue Change: Please note the new venue above. Moving forward, we will be at the Speak Easy.
Hope to see you for beers and Python!
We may have some more Python books to give out from our sponsors O'Reilly and Pearson.
